OFNTSC - Golf Tournament

As active participants of the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC), KO Public Works has annually attended the charity golf tournament held during the OFNTSC Technical Conference.  The proceeds from this event are used to assist aspiring students to enroll in post secondary science and technology courses in Ontario.

School Energy Audit

KGS Group will be conducting the school energy audits the week of Oct 23 - 27, 2006, at the following schools:Sachigo Lake, Lac Seul, Muskrat Dam, Sandy Lake, Keewaywin, Deer Lake and Kasabonika
The group travelling to these communities are from KGS Group, KO, OFNTSC (Tribal Council for Lac Seul), IFNA (TC for Muskrat Dam), Windigo (TC for Sachigo & Bearskin Lakes), Sandy Lake (TC for Sandy Lake).

700 Leave Homes as Ontario Forest Fires Burn

Hundreds of people have left their homes in "bone-dry" northwestern Ontario, where fire crews are struggling to control more then 300 fires burning in the region.
Lightening strikes have caused most of the fires burning in the area northwest of Thunder Bay, including the 60 new fires that started on Tuesday, said Debbie MacLean, with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.
